3b - Annual Enterprise Excellence Awards & Business Dinner 2006
3b (Black Business in Birmingham) celebrated 20 years of success when it held its 11th Annual Enterprise Excellence Awards & Business Dinner at the ICC on Saturday, 1st July 2006. It was hailed by many as a great success with over 350 guests enjoying good food, great entertainment, inspirational speeches, the spectacular Awards Ceremony and dancing until 2am.
3b Chief Executive Goriola Sonola said: "After 20 years of Business and Enterprise Support we can now reflect on how we have helped our clients
develop their businesses, with many of them achieving outstanding entrepreneurial growth, which has given us great deal of satisfaction".
Several VIPs also attended, including the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, High Commissioners of Jamaica and St. Kitts & Nevis and the Ambassador from the Embassy of the Republic of Guinnea.
The event was hosted by MC Reuben Lynch with Keynote Speaker Andrew Robinson MBE, Head of Community Development Banking for Natwest and The Royal Bank of Scotland. 3b Chairman Athelston 'Tony' Sealey and Chief Executive Goriola Sonola also addressed the audience.
Jaguar Cars Ltd, which has continually supported the enterprise agency, was once again the Premier Sponsor. Advantage West Midlands were also Event Sponsors. Other award sponsors included Natwest, Business Link Birmingham, UCE, Jamaica National Overseas Ltd and Galaxy 102.2.
Air Jamaica, Diamond Travel, Caribbean Castle Resorts and Vaughan Associates kindly donated Raffle Prizes, the proceeds of which went to the Mustard Seed Communities Charity, which cares for abandoned and severely disabled children in the poorest areas of Jamaica.
